Desert Provisions
Desert Provisions was born in Tucson, Arizona in 2017 and co-founded by Amanda Horton and Alex Bradspies. Amanda and Alex met in Portland, Oregon where they both lived for 12+ years and became good friends after moving to Tucson (fondly known as the Old Pueblo) in 2015 to work for the University of Arizona. Neither fancied themselves desert dwellers but quickly fell in love with the magical allure of Tucson and the desert southwest. After months of drying and milling chiles in their respective kitchens and thoughtfully packaging for friends and family for gifts, they decided to explore how to take their passion to the masses. They both wanted to be able to share the special and unique elements of the desert with the rest of the world. Desert Provisions is the result of Amanda and Alex’s love for good food that’s all-natural, locally sourced, tastes great, and is well-packaged and designed.
